In truth, having failed so many times in the past, I'm so glad to be able to say I've done it!
When I tired to quit so many times in the past I failed. It wasn't because any of the aids etc were rubbish or anything. It was because I simply wasn't willing to let go.
So I set about doing a lot of reading of other people's success stories. About other people's stories about the highs and lows of being a smoker. The more I read the more I understood.
Other people helped me by sharing their stories.
My first day of not smoking was the day I first realized it was afternoon and I hadn't even considered going out for a cigarette. I'd set a date for a couple months later to actually 'officially' quit but it just happened before.
If you are reading this because you are wanting to quit smoking. Put the 14th of March 2012 in your diary. Now start reading real people's stories. We did it. You can do it too.
One thing that really helps me is writing about my experiences as a smoker. It's good to be honest about what you are going through and have been through. Reading this helped me quit. My blog is called : Smoke Free by Accident If you have quit yourself, by writing your story you can help others too!
This is a perfect place to share. I'll be supporting this day. How can I put a link on my blog about this great no smoking day?
