Week 2 has arrived in the douglas.j household.Being day 8 of my quit,I ask myself did I once get tempted to buy cigarettes?...NO...I've had a few off moments-Just felt lousy-But the evenings strangely enough always feel good. The cravings or whatever are usually in the morning/afternoon.Would you believe a few months ago I was walking to the petrol station at 2.00AM(after midnight)to buy 10 cigs from time to time- And that was a thirty minute walk.To feed this crazy EX habit.I walked past a smoker in the high street yesterday night and could smell the exhaled smoke from a distance. This quit is magnificent at times and AWEFUL at times...when that ''''crave/feeling?''''' strikes....or when a situation arises like a phone call when I would often light up......Thats the biggest hurdle..disassociating the ciggy from a host of situations when I would light up.I know from my last 6 month quit It takes time and one must keep ones resolve.I have the strength to keep my quit going(day by day)must not be complacent and remember why I failed before.I am a bit obsessional about the quit because it is SO IMPORTANT to me.I've invested 8 days in some discomfort to stop smoking again so i will carry on and post every day till I get to a month...why not ..It keeps me focused and I like this forum.I hope I dont let myself down.nothing is guaranteed....but one good thing I did it before for 6 months so I know I can do it again:confused::rolleyes:...Best wishes everyone for your quit/future quit(Karri:))...douglas.j
