Okay i woke up today saying don't smoke don't smoke!! I left one cigg in my packet from last night and tottally forgot it was there so when i found it the urge to have it came around! I am so dissapointed because i was at the shop buying a fresh packet within 5 minutes..
So tomorrow is my quitting day. I will make it through half of the day cold turkey because i have done it before. I dont even know why i started again but maybe one reason is i have assoisiated alchol with ciggs so as soon as i start drinking with friends its the next thing on my mind. And it never used to be like that when i last quit. So i'm not going to try and quit the same way last time and totally cut out alchol i see it as a challange to go out still drink and not smoke. I will be more proud of myself and more confident than ever! hopefully.
I was on this site a long time ago and it helped me stop when i was about 18. I am 20 now and know that it has to stop. The help and advise i got from the other members on this site really pushed me through the cravings and i was me again. A none smoker.
So please this time give me a bigger kick up the bum and help me finally say GOODBYE !!!! lol

i was there last night! if i hadnt had 3 ciggies left in the pack i wouldnt have smoked but i just couldnt bring myself to destroy them or give them away. its sooo hard to do that! just seems wrong considering how much i paid for the damn things. lol,
nice to meet ya and pm me any time you need a kick up the bum, tho i will hope for the same in return
Good luck today Becca! If there are any left, chuck them. My quit day was yesterday and on Sunday night I was throwing away ash trays, lighters (was quite shocked at how many I had) and the fags I had left. I realised it's healthier to throw them away than smoke them, they're no good for anything else anyway! Helped me to realise how much money I've wasted too.
Try not to focus too much on the hard bits today - look forward to the bits that make you feel great like fresh air, freedom, not worrying about what people think of you, smelling great and about a fiver better off on day 1!
I know for a lot of people alcohol and smoking is a big deal, I dont drink often, infact maybe twice a month so it wasnt for me. Stress was/is worse for me. But good for you in knowing what impulsed you to lift it and break your quit the last time, hopefully you wont do it again!
Well i haven't smoked all day today.. which is brilliant. I can feel the cravings kicking in but i keep drinking water or shoving a polo in my mouth xx I was really ill last night aswell which i think was from trying to finish an entire pack of ciggs whilst drinking. I feel amazing so far because i dont smell. lol x
great! keep it up, drinking water really helps and cravings never last more than a few mins so deep breaths and they will soon pass. Are you using NRT or anything?
The best of Luck - Day one is the worst - chewing and drinking does help - if you're using patches you might escape the cravings - I have - just the other aches and pains - but thats gonna happen as your body needs to get use to you being clean and not pumping all that s**t into it
