My first smoke-free day in a long time has finally arrived! Feeling pretty sweet so far (ha!) Wish me luck folks! I feel the need for another annoying exclamation mark!

Peaky,

Well done on deciding to quit! Best thing you will ever do, just keep it in your head that the first three days are the hardest but after that it gradually gets easier, I promise. If I can do it anyone can.

Haha thanks everyone. I'm still feeling perfectly ok so i'll stay optimistic for tonight (which is when most people say they find it hardest). My clothes still smell of washing powder, it's awesome!

This sounds pretty bonkers but I'll tell you what has helped me so far today - when I start thinking a bit too much about smoking or maybe a craving I have looked in the mirror and given myself a cheesy grin. I felt so much better!

That was me Peaky!! I did just that plus kept looking at myself saying ' you don't smoke, you are an non-smoker'.

Embarrassing but worked for me!!

Hiya Talien. I thought that staying more positive would help me. Sometimes it can all seem like doom and gloom (which, everyone is entitled to feel!) Don't get me wrong, I've been having some proper rage and rant moments over the past few days but I haven't felt the need to solve my irritability with a cigarette. I just think I would be even more annoyed if I did!

Anyway, having positive moments helps far better than negative ones! Enjoy your day 1 =)
