I am on day 21 and obviously tomorrow is day 22.......what forum am I supposed to be in?

Last week I was on my third week but I'm not into month one yet.

part of the joy of this forum is working out where to post!! very confusing and no right answer really

the way i've seen most people deal with it is to think 'month 1' is for the fourth week, then in your fifth week jump on in to the 'month 2' forum, as in 'i am in month 2', rather than 'i have now completed month 2'... hope that made some sense!

I agree where is week four? maybe this is to make you think you have stopped longer because you can miss out week four and go to one month. Nah that won't work cos' that's kind of cheating, I think you should be more concerned and delighted with the fact you have got to week four and celebrate.

This is correct month one does not mean you have completed month one it means you are still in month one. When you have completed month one then you enter month two. Does that make sence?:confused:

Actually I waited till I'd done 4 weeks before posting in Month 1, and I'm still there now waiting for another week to move up to Month 2.

Frankly don't think it matters too much.

Apologies for not replying sooner as my OH hogged the laptop all day yesterday :mad:

So basicly what your all saying is, there is nowhere for a lassy like meself to go on week 4 as I'm neither in week 3 or month one and I cant really be in month one as I havent actually finished 4 weeks!!

Another problem for ye to sort for me. Why am I soooh nasty to my OH. If the nicotine has left my body and I havent taken Champix for 3 days. Whats my excuse? He has also quit and he is doing it with gum but he's not being so NASTY to me - and its causing serious problems (slept in spare room 3 nights now

Hi Sinead, yes it's a good bet that the nicotine has left your body but you have been feeding your body nicotine plus a few thousand other chemicals for a lond time. So your body is now demanding you put the nicotine back and that nicodemon will fight you all the way. That's why you are being nasty to your OH who else can you take it out on. This is when you have to be strong and say "NO!! you can torture me and play with my mind as much as you want I won't give in". The longer you can hold out the easier it will get to say no.

As you know you get nothing for nothing in this life so if you want something you have to give something in return.

I was lucky in the fact that my family understood I was not myself when I became angry very easy, so that helped. We are all different you may be quick tempered and take tings out on you OH but he may be alright now but later get moody or depressed. These are things we can all go through when stopping, try to get him to understand this is not you but that nicodemon playing tricks with your mind.

It will get better.

My son did a gig on Saturday night and I stood outside having conversations with people that were smoking. And to be honest I felt sorry for them having to run outside every 15-20 mins, that's how I feel now after 16 months smoke free.

You can all do it.

Thank you so much for taking time out to advise me and understand that I'm not the witch I think I am at the moment. I guess we are both at each others throats these days. When I am Nasty to OH he takes it really personal which I guess is his Nicodemon in him.

Bought a few Bob Dylan albums (Biograph and Desire) which we used to listen to alot when we met first. Had a few glasses of wine and chilled out so I think things are better today! No smokes though........thank god!!

I have to admire you, when I read your signature and you smoked from the age of 11 and you are a year and half quit! Hats off to ya!!

Hi Sinead, okay you have got the albums and the wine and each other. The later being the most important.

Under the circumstances that you are both quiting I think it is necessary that every so often you sit together and talk to one and other. Even about quiting, praise each other for your achievments and maybe get your OH on here.

I wish you both great non craving and keep it going because you are both doing well.

4 weeks ,a month who cares.

:pOOOOps Im totally bewildered .Iv told the world iv quit smoking for a mth, but my quit meter says i havnt.says im on day 27? seem to have been on 27 for days, is it cos i quit, then started again, stopped again, on my first day 9 march and what about one mth being 9 april. or am i just being spinikity?

na na nana naaaaa!!! Now you know how I felt. It doesnt matter anyway. Every day means that we're getting healthier and wealthier!!! My widget is showing me 30 days and a saving of £130.00.....Can you imagine getting £130extra a month in your wage packet?
