Yaaaaay you've started!
Was the first thing in the morning a crave or habit? I found it helpful (you may not!) to look at each smoking thought and ask myself 'crave or habit'. habits are much easier to break and I found that 99% were habits.
The first in morning one, the in the car on the way to work one, the with my coffee one, the shouting at my OH simply because he's alive one etc etc etc!

I found it easier when i changed my routine a bit, along with keeping myself busy, i'm just going into week 3 it does get better and i think about smoking half as much now

Just remember that cigarettes bring nothing to the party.
Every feeling you think a cigarette gives you, other than the physical passage of smoke from mouth to lungs and back again, is pure association.
You will rapidly realise that it all works just as nicely, if not better without the smokes.
