Hi, Ive just joined today in the hope of some support from fellow quitters. Im on day 5 and was wondering has anyone else suffered from a throat that feels like its full of blisters and a rawness. My nose is so dry and sore too.
Yesterday was my worst day so far...craved the cigs all day, nearly caved in but thankfully didnt. Cried buckets too!! Is this normal or am I going barmy? HELP!!

I am sorry to tell you, you are going completely stark raving bonkers!!
Don't know about the sore throat etc - it could be the quit, or it could be your run of the mill cold virus - or a bit of both, of course! Take some paracetamol and drink lots of water.
As to the weepy stuff, oh yes, that's normal! We've all got that particular T-shirt in our wardrobe, I reckon. Hang in there though, because it does pass, honest.
Congrats on making it to day five. Stay strong and stick around, this place will help get you through!

Thanks helsbelles...Ive been reading a few of the posts on here....nice to have someone to chat to when ur having a low moment...
Many people report many symptoms when quitting, many of which involve mouth ulcers and other oral woes!!
The good news is they pass relatively quickly as the old blood starts to circulate with all that extra oxygen you will be getting!
Now there are lots of posts around this forum which cover all sorts of ailments that you might encounter, the best thing you can do is read, read,
read and you will arm yourself for the journey ahead.
Also posting on here is good for distracting yourself when you get cravings.
Good luck!!
Thank you for the advice John!! Im starting to feel so much better about everything since reading other peoples posts! I think this forum is going to be my saviour in the coming weeks!!
Hi Irish you will be so glad you joined they are so great they all really help, there is always someone on here who will answer. good luck on day 5 your doing well. I had sore gums in the beginning and the weeps. x
I found reading on here around the same time as my quit and just a day or so ahead really helped and I then knew most of what I was going through was normal.
