...so i'm at work thinking about NOT smoking and reading "my reasons" and thinking how i cant believe how many times i've pushed it back, and think maybe i'm finally getting it - tomorrow wont be a "better" time to quit etc...
...THEN bizarrely brain goes - "that's good you understand that, now it wont matter if you smoke tonight and quit "properly" tomorrow"...got some good (:rolleyes reasons to go with that theory too such as..
1) technically i quit yesterday which was the 13th which is unlucky, so if i smoke today and give up today, well the 14th is just better
2) I was tired and hungover yesterday so didnt get to smoke "properly"
I KNOW it's all b0ll0x so why am i even giving it brain space, trying to shut it down and think just dont smoke right now - but it's trying to trick me into making a decision about smoking when i get home tonight!!!!!:eek:

tell you what the best thing to do is . Not think about it, everytime it enters your mind just bash it away , cos gooin over and over the same ground, will wind you up even more - tell your brain to shut up.
i also quit on the 13th and i think thats good cos its an easy date to remember next month etc
Yep - it is definitely the thought that i just couldnt bear to "start again, again" and telling all you guys that has kept me going at times!
Still dont like the 13th though - hence i have made my signature 14th, but as long as i dont actually smoke that's allowed right? As in 14th is first day of no smoking...how strict are you guys?
Lula...put an elastic band around your wrist. When your brain starts to take over and come up with all sorts of fantastically perfect reasons why you should be a smoker, grab it (the laccy band that is), pull it and give it a damn good ping.
You'll soon stop thinking about how badly you want that perfect cigarette and start worrying about how badly your wrist smarts
