I made it, one whole month, amazed isn't the word :D:D
Got room for me?????...........: I made it... - No Smoking Day
Got room for me?????...........
Well done Chrissie. You've worked hard at it. Give yourself a pat on the back (and a treat), and keep going x
Well done Crissie 1 month is very cool, cant wait to get to where you are. What's your fave thing about being quit on your 1 month milestone?
YAAAAAAAY
Welcome aboard Chrissie. (shuffles up very large bottom to make small amount of room on bench) Come and join me here by the fire, red wine open and warmed and nice bowl of nibbles ready - obviously not up to Penthouse fare, but good enough for us!
Really well done girlie, so pleased for you.
Congratulations! Way to go!!
Thank you, I may even share some of my goodies from my cupboard
As for my favourite thing, I really don't know. I have found I get far more done round the house as I don't put everything off by having a cigarette before doing it.
I don't find my breathing much better as yet but I am so unfit anyway, lol. I love that things smell better and my teeth seem whiter. I guess my favourite thing would be when my kids get up and check how long it has been and tell me how proud they are
Feeling great though and very positive. Have had a lovely evening laughing my head off at my husband trying out the zumba fitness dvd I bought (more effort than I have made with it). He has no sense of timing at all and we all just sat laughing at him.
It has been a really nice weekend, we have tidy the gardens, been for a REALLY long walk with the dog and tbh until checking this forum I have barely thought about smoking.
I just can't believe how quickly it has gone!
Well done to you! I agree to the getting more done around d house part!
Hey Crissie!
Just saw this, well done to you That first month milestone feels great, time really does fly and you'll be on the section for month 3 before you know it
x
Thank you!
Now time to get fit, I have just ordered a rowing machine  I know my husband will use it though if I don't!
Been for a 2 hour walk with the dog today, we live at the bottom of a hill so we walked up, over exmoor a bit, into the woods and down the other side. Saw some deer, pheasants, squirrels, exmoor ponies and horses, I really enjoyed it. Poor dog is shattered and so was I. Have also started counting the calories and watching my snacking so that will help. I haven't touched any chocolate today for the first time since quitting, just 2 little biscuits instead
Lovely photo Chrissie. Was that taken on your walk? It's great living in the countryside, though I must say I've never seen deer in that number before except in a zoo
Yes it was today, we are surrounded by Exmoor here so it is beautiful for walks although most of it is uphill. I have only ever seen one once before about 6 months ago so it was lovely to see so many.
I was born in Birmingham and lived there until I was 13 and no way would I ever go back. It is so nice having all this on our doorstep.
Nice walk again today. I have been a bit on the grumpy side though.
I am so grateful for what I have tonight though. One of the mums at schools boyfriend age 24 has died of cancer this evening leaving behind 2 children aged 3 and 4 months. He first got cancer at 20 and recovered and it came back last year. They told him 3 weeks ago there was no more they could do. He has never smoked and was very fit. So so sad
Things like this always make me think an awful lot and I am so glad I have finally quit smoking as I couldn't bear the thought of my family/children/friends going through that.
