When to cut down on Champix

Hi,

I want to cut down on champix before the end of the course as I have read that just stopping them can cause alot of problems. I was wondering when would be a good time to cut down and by how much. Any advice will be very welcome.

Hi Ian

Depends how far you are along the course really. If you're only a few weeks in, i'd advise staying the course a while longer. If you've been on them a while, and are finding the quitting process ok, then cut down on them gradually or talk to your quit nurse if you have one.

I stopped taking them just before Christmas, but only because I have a carp memory :rolleyes: and I kept forgetting them. Haven't had any problems since....well only the usual odd crave, but nothing I couldn't handle.

I didn't stop taking them at once tho, cos I didn't know the effects of doing so, so I skipped the odd tablet or too, until I just wasn't aking them anymore.
