sorry I haven't been on in a few days however I is back
Ok, so I am on day 15 and feeling good! going it CT now as the champix were maknig me feel too sick so I have come off them.
I am genuinly feeling great and don't think about smoking until I drink and am with smokers, then I feel the pressure
If I drink in the house with only my hubby who doesn't smoke then I don't think about it once but if I drink and am out with smokers I want to smoke, like I am jealous of them smoking when I can't?
however Sunday I was with family all day, drinking and they were smoking and the next morning I could smell the smoke on my top and.... well it didn't smell nice at all!

Try to not feel under pressure when your friends smoke as in reality they are jealous of YOU!
Keep that smell of your top in the forefront of your mind as it won't be long before you dislike every smell of smoking and you won't want to stand with your friends when they smoke..........except to remind you how disgusting the smell is
There wasn't any sarcastic comment in the above reply? are you poorly today hunni? LOL
To be honest I didn't think it would be this easy, I think the 1st week is the hardest, I felt rotten, so down, ill, tired, however now I feel so much better for it!!
You must be feeling loads better than me as you are a few weeks ahead of me
Hiya i only joined the site the other night , been peeking in and out and found it helpful reading all you guys diffrent storys on quitting, i had smoked since i was eleven , im now gonna turn 50 in May :), i have tried before too quit many years ago went cold turkey got too day 16 and caved But this time im ready too conquer this, with the help of the 24 hr patches im suprised im doing so well, 39 yrs of smoking is not good .
Im finding the sleeping or lack of it the worse, i have been waking the past few mornings at around 4 in the morning, so im knakerd around tea time lol,
The thing i love most is , the fact i went for a lovely long walk yesterday with my daughter and grandson ( 7 months old ) and found i wasnt getting the usual pains in my legs wich used too worry me lots , my daughter has also quit with me too so we are helping each other lots she is also on day 5 , and is on the 16 hr patches, I have been waking with pains in my belly too but i think that may be due too the fact im also on a diet as well, and have been really strict with myself food wise, so i think the belly pains may be bloody hunger pains lol.
Thanks too everyone who is sharing their thoughts and feelings its good too read we are all sorta going through the same stuff, anyway back too my reading now have a good day all x Pat
Welcome and well done for making the right decision ie to quit!
I think you know you feel different on this quit, i was the same, something told me the time was right, i felt different and more confident then i ever did.
Good luck with your quit, you've already noticed the benefits so keep those positive thoughts to the fore front of your mind to give you an extra boost....... and you know the people on this forum are here for you if and when you need us.
Congratulations on becoming a no smoker! and I am glad that the posts on this forum have helped you.
We are all in the same boat so I agree it is goo to read up on what others are saying or going through to guide you through this
Just remember, the hardest part is quitting, you've done that now so the rest can be done easily!

Hi Pat and welcome.
I wonder if a mod would be so kind as to start a new thread with your post as it seems somewhat lost here.
Still good to have you on board the quit train, hope it is going well for you. Feel free to post away and rant when ever you feel the need, also as you are already finding reading really helps!!
