Hey Dell,

No worries buddy, from the little knowledge I've gained by reading these boards I'm sure the tabs will start kicking in. Someone with direct experience of champix should be along soon to post with good advice

Other than that, remember not all is lost cos you can still go to your doc and explain your concerns.

Keep on keepin' on,

Cav

Hi Dell

Why don't you wait and see what happens when you start taking the blue ones. As long as you quit in that 2nd week, it doesn't matter which day. I quit about half way through the 2nd week. And remember, they're not a miracle cure, you have to put in some hard work too!

Thanks for the support.

Just cant imagine what life will be like with out my death sticks.

Just cant imagine what life will be like with out my death sticks.

I can tell you - a hell of a lot better! No 4000+ chemicals being inhaled everytime you light one. No arranging your days around when you will get your next fix. No wheezing everytime you look at a step.

Seeing the picture or do you need some more help? ;)

Seriously though life becomes so much better when you are free from the nicotine monster :D Good luck!!

Be patient - the Champix will kick in when it's ready... if it takes a couple more days it's wortn it.

Life after fags is like life with fags, except you won't be making sure you've always got them, and a working lighter, and looking for the next opportunity to have a smoke, and wondering if you'll ever give up the damn things, and you'll have more money. You won't miss the fags, you may miss the habit of smoking, but that won't kill you.

Yup agree with others, wait untill you are halfway+ on the second week of treatment. Half way through the second week I upped my smoking because I started getting nothing from it. That's not because the Champix is not working, that is when it IS working. You will stop getting anything from cigarettes and you will know when that happens, you will start to feel frustrated a bit, you will notice the change, at least I did. Keep going.

It's too soon, don't do it yet.
