Day 17 and not so good....

although now ive shared that, i hope it becomes better!

really REALLY want to smoke.... except this time i want the whole shebang, the choke, the smell, the mental satisfaction, the naughtyness of doing something i shouldnt, the letting down of people i have told ive quit and the whole risk of illness!!!

This 'most depressing day of the year' started this morning with my laptop breaking, to fix will probably be nearly as much as a new one, so theres no point, but the stress of working out all the data ive lost has really got to me:mad:

The only thing that stopped me going to the shops before to get some tobacco was moving my old pc into the front room and fighting for what seems the last few hours trying to connect it. Then to discover that it wouldnt connect to the internet, to THEN discover that id plugged in a cable into the wrong socket.... which im sure as a smoker i wouldnt have done!!:(

Using more of my nicotine spray too, and its nearly run out:mad:

This is SUPPOSED to be getting easier... i managed over a year quitting before... dont understand why its getting tougher!

Hiya Toto and all you other New Year quitters.

You're all doing really well, I was only there a few weeks back.

Toto, if you were to have a smoke, would it bring back all your lost data?.......No, thought not :D

Have a look back through my posts and especially at one thread of mine entitled 'cave time'. I'd had a really crap day, and then spent time in the company of smokers, who were smoking in my face (inside). I so nearly gave in....but what would have been the point.....my problems would still have been there if I had given in.

Just try to ride it out...yes it's tough...but it's worth it

Wishing you well in your quit

Hope you are feeling better by now toto. I was lucky yesterday to have a good day but believe me I have had the bad too. Seems a lot of people as already said has a crap day.

Anyway, I am sure that you made it through and have that feeling that only an ex smoker knows, the feeling of knowing that you didn't lift one when it would have been so easy to have. Check out you and your will power

Tuesday will be a better day for you, I can feel it!

Hope you're having a better day today. I was having a nightmare yesterday too, seems a lot of us were. I had to really battle with myself not to buy some tobacco. Only a three mile walk down a muddy towpath sorted my head out.

Let us know if day 18 is an improvement!

Helen
