Hi Fets and welcome to the forum.

You will find lots of help and support around here. Sorry your suffering with the craves at the mo, but it will pass, I promise. Remember why you are doing this, stay strong, we are all behind you.

Read the links in mine, and others signitures. Post often, drink lots of water. Read lots of posts from other at your stage and just beyond.

You can do this and it is sooo worth it.

Hi Fets, welcome to the forum! I wish you all the best luck on your journey back to freedom..... because that is what it is..... you're freeing yourself of this addiction... this thing that controls your day, every hour of your day, controls your thoughts, destroys your health, the list is so long.

The trick in quitting is retraining how you view smoking.... we've lied to ourselves into believing there are so many benefits to smoking and you've got to spent time reading and talking to others to discover the truth about smoking.... not just discover it but really truly accept it..... smoking does nothing for you, that's the simple truth and when you've gotten yourself out of the fangs of this addiction, you'll truly be so thrilled.

So with that said.... next few weeks you'll continuously be tested and it's hard. You may cry, you may get mad, you may feel wrongly deprived, but just seek for advice and support on here... post often, read all the links, in time the craves will fade and you'll be free!!!

Happy New Year to you and happy start to your road to freedom!

Hi Fets I remember my first few days, they were so easy no craves no missing the cigs and feeling 100% focused and happy, ok then I looked back at my posts and wondering how the hell I managed to make the Penthouse, it’s like having a baby after a while you forget the pain and enjoy the massive euphoria that quitting smoking gives you.

Don’t give in it will and does get better just not over night, we are all here for you and there are so many of us and we have been there so understand the tears and fears.

Happy New Year even if it doesn’t seem that way at the mo.

Thankyou Bella

I just hope this doesn't turn out to be another failed attempt, im tired of trying and failing and time seems to go so slowly when you don't smoke!

I have been reading a lot and recognise the disadvantages of smoking, it's horrible I wish I had never picked up that first one. Just need to get through these first few days, once I feel i have an investment in quitting (2 or 3 valuable days) im sure I can go the rest!!!!

Don't get weak!!! It's just the nicodemon as the others say. Get busy! Do some work or find some hobbies which will take your attention away. And keep reading and posting here. That will give you strength to stay away from cigarettes.
