well made it to Day Three without killing anyone, so am feeling pretty chuffed with myself. Anyone else feeling extra emotional though? I keep blowing things up whay out of context and then crying my eyes out? Very odd, seeing as I don't remember the last time I cried....
Hope you are all doing well and I hope to see you all tomorrow

Sometimes i have the high and then the low but we have pumped our bodies with so many chemicals that now our bodies and minds are trying to repair themselves.
It will take time and obviously we will encounter all sorts of emotions whilst going through that stopping process. Take it minute by minute and if you can take up a new hobby. As you know mine is knitting but its working and time seems to go quite quickly now.
My quit is not going to bad at the mo. After i found that free hypno session yesterday i feel differently about those things infact i have not had any thoughts or cravings since i listened to it yesterday and again late last night when i went to bed, so i think that its in my brain now that i am NOT A SMOKER and all that.
Im just about to start scarf no 10, dont know which colour to do yet mind you but i have quite a few colours to choose from and it is helping to keep my mind clear and not think about anything else like i used to.
If you want the link for the hypno site have a look in the Oct Social group as i put it on there, i can recomend that you download a copy as i feel that has enriched my mental state of being a non smoker now.
Good luck Hunni and keep us all posted on your progress.
The overly emotional side of stopping is perfectly normal. I have had that before on a previous quit and quite stupidly used it as a reason to start again. Wish I had known then what I know now, in that it is the Nicodemon trying to get you to smoke. Its hard, but just ignore him, as with al bullies if they don't get a reaction they soon go away
Yeah, i'm doing good with it. Be 3 wks tomorrow. Saw my no smoking nurse today and she said when I go next week if I still have not smoked I will officially be a non smoker
Just taking each day at a time. I have also joined Jo (nuttynurse) in her quest to knit scarves for the entire world, although I am only on my first, but I am using smaller needles and thinner wool, thats my story and i'm sticking to it lol.

Ah-ha, now your secret is out. Smaller needles and thinner wool, likely story lol. ha ha ha
Its def a good way to keep yourself busy, i mean im on number 10 now and at this rate i could start my own shop, nah i dont think so but at least im not twiddling my thumbs or thinking about those nasty little blighters.
Good luck with your scarf Levs, you will have to post a pic on here when its all done.
My mum did this when she quit last year... I ended up with piles and piles of 10ft long scarves!
Well done you guys, embo - 3 days is so great, it's really the start of something so big and in a way the first week is the best because you really feel the importance of what you're doing... its BECAUSE its so hard that you really realise how much smoking has taken over your life! Always remember what you're going through now and think - do I really want to do this all over again?

So you should feel chuffed!!! I feel mega chuffed for you!!! * thumbs up*
I am not feeling extra emotional, just flipping angry at times lol
But letting it all out is better than keeping it in, so cry away and you will feel much better for it.
Lovelly pic, i have the Neverending story DVDs and the kids love them, this pic is so heart rending. Those films are great films and i can recomend to all.
On Day 11 for me and Yep knitting still going strong. Not had a real urge at all and now on scarf no 12, it does help to pass the time and keep my fingers and mind occupied.
Heres to day 12...whoop, whoop & Munt, good luck with ya quit, you can do this ya know
