Hello all my fellow Octoquitters... I'm back for the first anniversary and the move to the penthouse and hug you all...
so ...
I am truly amazed and proud to celebrate the 1st anniversary of my smoke free life. Over the past year, I put on 6 kg , got through many highly stressful situations, moving house, miserable job with a bully of a boss, redundancy, new job and break up, I fell off the wagon a few times and even had doubts as to whether it was all worth it, but after 365 days, I am resolutely a non smoker and determined never to go back
it has been quite a journey and one that will probably never actually quite end, but how good does it feel, I smell nice, I hardly ever have headaches and never cough, with the money saved I upgraded my MacBook and had a super weekend in York..
I'm glad to see so many have made it and although I stopped using the forum a few months ago, I have to say in the first 4 months, this forum was instrumental, just as much as the tablets, to support my quit, some fellow octoquitters have supported with more than my quit and I owe someone quite a lot as she was my rock
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY and kisses and hugs to all xxxxxx

You gave up cigs and many other nasty things at a most stressfull time in your life. You dug your heels in and got there and I am so so proud of you.
You have changed your life and it is fantstic to see you here today so positive and happy in your new non smoker life. A true example of how sticking through the tough times bring its own rewards...
The very best of love and luck to you for the future which I know will be both fabulous and prosperous....you deserve every wonderful moment. Fly high hun
thank you guys, I have to add that this year I also started an Open University BA in International Studies and my new job is awesome.. Life is really good and I am more upbeat than I ever was.
as I said this forum shows what great human beings are around and how one can achieve something very difficult with support.
On a serious note, I hope NHS Fresh Start keeps its funding as this is a great scheme, as for the Forum, it shows also that something that is simple and free can have a tremendous impact...
