Hi Mr G, and well done to you and if you stay positive you will do this, and if you are like me you will not allow the fact that friends and family are still smoking around you,as an excuse to smoke. I stopped 10 months ago and my wife still smokes , but I must admit that it has never made me want to start smoking again, and my wife has admitted that she is proud of me for giving up the fags and she wishes that she had the same willpower??. I have never felt so healthy since I stopped smoking, but use this site as you continue on the journey to be a complete non smoker and the best of luck.

Congratulations on two weeks quit Mr G. You sound as though you have a great positive attitude towards this whole thing which is such a blessing, not letting the little niggles get you down is such a huge bonus that I have no doubt that you will carry on pushing forward.
Keep reminding yourself how good all that fresh air feels, I almost feel embarrassed now when I smell someone in the distance smoking, to think I was stinking the air up that much
You'll suddenly realise that you're not having to remind yourself not to smoke just as much and that you just naturally get on with things without thinking about it.
