Feels good to have stopped for 15 days!!

It's mostly been pretty steady. The first 2 days were hard, the remainder of the 1st week a doddle (including a night out)

The beginning of the 2nd week again was ok, but the end came as a shock.

Not really cravings as such, and didn't even think about ciggies when at the shops but just pretty downbeat, snappy, lethargic. Maybe it's because the enthusiasm has waned slightly.

I know these are symptoms and can get through them, and when i do exercise (cycling) it's amazing! Can cycle lots longer, quicker than before, it's just actually getting on the bike in the first place!

But it's the little things that are proper annoying me. Had a right snap at my lodger, who had his tail between his legs all weekend. And i can't get positive about other changes i have in store.

So, even though I will not go back to smoking, can't imagine it now, I'm looking forward for this period to subside!

Brett, I'm sorry you're feeling a bit low, I can only absolutely assure you that it will get better. I can remember going through a period when I felt like I was mourning something, which I suppose in a way I was. That little something that I thought helped me in all sorts of different situations. The excuse was always to pop outside for a smoke whilst I calmed down!

Don't worry about it cos it is perfectly normal. If you know you've been snappy, apologise to the person you've snapped at, we all get off days, the key is recognising those days and compensating for them.

This is all a state of mind for you now, the nicodemon having a determined effort to convince you that you won't be happy unless you satisfy him. Well, you know and I know that it is all a lie. Kick him firmly in the backside, let him know who's boss.

Perhaps you could find things to make you laugh, or at least smile. The internet, a funny film, joke books, youtube, funny books, a friend that always brings a smile? Try and find something to lift your spirits. It will pass I promise so hang in there.

Lorraine :)
