My Last Cigarette app is great for the iPhone - I have and it is the best 59p or 79p (cant remember which) I spent in a long time - great motivator

NHS also do a good one as free app.

Good stuff on giving it another shot - I'm sure this time you will succeed. You have chose not to smoke right?

Good luck and let us know hoe you get on :)

Gary, good for you not quitting trying to quit. Doesn't matter how many times it takes, I really do believe that once we have tried to quit, we will eventually succeed because I certainly was never happy smoking again after trying to give up the first two times.

Take it a day at a time, read up on the addiction, try and stay as calm as possible, do things that make you smile or even better laugh. Every day done is a goal reached. The days soon add up but don't sit by counting them and wishing them away. You haven't given up life, you've given up a drug which you are well rid of, you may mourn it's goodbye a little cos you think it has been a support for you in the past, but this is just pure illusion and just part of the addiction.

You don't need it, you don't want it, it doesn't make you a better person. Go for it Gary, think positive things whenever possible, notice the difference in smell, taste, money in your pocket, breathing etc. Notice every benefit no matter how small, then if you feel you're craving or feeling low, remember all those little positive things.

Best wishes,

Lorraine :)
