Im on day 230 now and things are a lot better now.
I have full days when i dont think about smoking anymore. I dont crave them anymore. Seeing other people smoking reminds me of how my hands used to be so tied and now i am free to do what I want.
I stopped 8 months ago now well more or less. and the reason that i stopped is that i wanted to stop before i bought my first house. Seems so long ago now but now ive been on viewings I can see it was one of the best ideas that I have ever had.
Still eyeing a car up (Volvo C30) that will never have been smoked in!
Much easier and ive been to Egypt for a week which was my first smokefree holiday. Didnt bother me atall, even though one of our party was a smoker. I was quite happy with just the drink! :)
I did notice how my clothes smell after a night out since they still allow smoking in bars, The first time ive encountered that since stopping. And I must say that I did not like the smokey air atall, it started to annoy me after a while.
Anyway things are all going well, im even thinking about deleteing my iphone app that has helped me through the early times, since i hardly ever look at it anymore.
Stats for you :
Non smoker for 230 days
saved by not smoking : £988.80
Cigarettes not smoked : 2996 !!!

Hi Quitter, and well done you on reaching this point in your quit and you are only 3/4 months away from the Penthouse. Like you I like to keep a running total on how many fags I have not bought / smoked and how much mony I have not given to the fag companys or the Goverment and it totals £2,227 and 8250 fags, which is good when you look at it like this. Hope you get that house that you are looking for and you invite only the people on this site to your house warming party and that way you house won't smell of fags? good idea? also the best car you can buy is anything from the Toyota range and I talk from experience as I have been driving them for 15 years now and they are great, and if I win the lotto tonight I might just buy you one to sit outside you new home.
