One whole week....yippee!!!

Well today is one week since I had my last. Am so chuffed with myself. A little about me....my name is Pippa I am from Somerset. I am 51 yrs old, the mother of one daughter and grandmother of a gorgeous little boy. He was born in May this year, and it is because of him that I felt the urge to quit.

I couldnt do it straight away......it had to be done when I felt ready....and last monday was the day. I have smoked for 30 yrs...10 a day.

Am doing this cold turkey...my choice. Am already noticing the differences...things smell better and taste better. I can honestly say that apart from a couple of occasions I havent really had the urge...am sure this will change. Right now I am feeling really good about myself...have even had a change of hairstyle and colour this weekend!!.

If I can do it.....anyone can!!!

Pippa, you sound absolutely fantastic, it's a great feeling isn't it. You should be so proud, one week is brilliant and you sound very confident. Don't expect problems, perhaps this was just your time to quit and your head and heart are in the right place. And all that extra energy you'll have to run after those grandchildren, not forgetting the extra money in your purse to spoil them! Well done you.

Yay congratulations and well done for going cold turkey ~ that takes will power. You must be feeling the benefits already! keep going it gets so much easier the more distance you add to it. Remember, one day at a time.
