Today has been hectic but so far so good. This is day 8 of Champix and most of the gitters are gone. Wish me luck for the rest of the weekend. It's amazing thanks to the Champix I can almost smile!!!!!

I'm at 48 hours not smoking. It's raining and cold outside, the gym is closed and I'm having bad cravings. Thought about going to the movies but everyone that's free smokes. ARG

Well done for 48 hours Benny, its great!

Ok, so distract yourself! Look in everyones signatures and click on the links. a lot of them are brilliant sources of info, inspirational stories etc. That will keep you occupied for quite a while, i know i spent hours and hours looking at them all when i first joined this forum.

Or look at 'smoking side effects' videos on youtube, or anti-smoking adverts- i did these a LOT in my 1st 2 weeks of my quit.

Thats OK Benny,

sometimes its hard to think of things to do when you are in the middle of a crave!

It may be useful to write a list of things to do that will distract you and pin it up somewhere (like the fridge), so that you can refer to it when you have a bad crave next time. I did this and referred to it quite a few time in the 1st few weeks!
