After all my slip ups I thought would I never really trust myself to stop smoking. But after many, many, many attempts to give up this is the first time I actually believe I have stopped.
For those of you still struggling - just never give up trying. I had to give up drinking (at least temporarily) to find my way and you will find yours too as long as you don't give up trying to give up!
Thank you all for your helpful advice - you saw what I had to do before I did, just took me a while to catch up!
The only slightly worrying thing is the panic I felt when I ran out of sparking mineral water last night -I actually called my mum and asked her to go to the supermarket in the evening to get me some (my son was in bed so I couldn't go out). I really do have an additive personality - but luckily no died from an addiction to sparking water as far as I know.
Good luck and well done the rest of you

Hi Zena
congrats to you excellent news ... really pleased for you to get to this milestone onwards and upwards from here on in
Well done a really positive post from a non smoker! You are of course right about not giving up quitting, for many of us around here we learnt that lesson the hard way.
Do you have any special treats planned? other than a night in with the sparkling water of course!
Fantastic result Zena, make sure you've plenty of sparkling mineral water in for celebrating. You could try sparkling elderflower, 2 for 1 in a well known supermarket that jamie oliver talks about, I love it.
Keep up all this happy positiveness, i'm sure it's addictive.
well done zena,,, i havn't posted for a bit but like you have reached the 1 month milestone :) . I hope you are really proud and pleased with yourself as I know I am. Keep up the good work zena and don't undo all the work you have put in.
Been lost without you, had to work out my own days and when to move forum rooms - it was all a little messy until I got to the obvious month milestone - as you have so well done to you. Are you having a fab time with your family and making up on lost cuddles with your gorgeous little girl?
