Right - I'm now fast approaching 10 months as a non smoker - and for that I'm really REALLY pleased. Some of you may also know that I had to give up due to a shoulder accident and surgery.

So - my flat has been a constant reminder of all those bad times over the last 9.5 months. Me sitting htere in pain NOT smoking - what a joy I must have been!!!

So I've started to re-decorate all my flat - changing the colours etc just so that its a "new" "fresh" beginning.

I'm in total upheaval at the moment - but loving it. It will take a bit of time (as I'm doing it) but I hope to get it all finished in time for the Penthouse.

Just wanted to share as I'm feeling so damn good!!

Continued good luck and best wishes to all.

AG

I think that every one is in Deccy mode at the moment so go for it, it is nice to see every where fresh and clean and to remove the smokey smell for good, Im suprised they dont develope a paint that doesnt go yellow with smoke, I havent had to redecorate as we moved just before I quit so no probs, if you are not careful though they will be getting you to redecorate the Penthouse when you move up :D take care x

redecorating the penthouse might be a good new thread Jamangie :D

could start a healthy debate between the minimalist folk and the chintzy ones .

think I have just met the very atomic person who if asked nicely would help?

got loads of practice ;);)

Decorating is such a good idea, out with the old etc. You will feel so good when it's done and just knowing that it will stay looking fresh for that much longer must be a bonus. 10 months is certainly something to celebrate. I'd keep up with the decorating practise though, seems you might have your work cut out when you step into the penthouse!
