Hello forum pals,

day two . feeling ok thanks to patches and inhalator.

I know it is the adrenaline talking -and must keep well aware always. !!

just want to say thank you to Chrissie and Bradders for replying. the thought that somewhere -someone who really knows what it is like to quit makes the effort to reply ??. Wow!!

Day two has been ok. Anyone reading - for me - the inhalators are so oooo helpful. gives you something to chew on.

instead of work - I have thought so much this quit.

loads of smoke , quit, smoke again , quit , smoke again etc etc.

this time - light bulb moment:):):)

I have all the help I can expect. Medication to help wean me off nicotine .

the fact we cant smoke and be accepted in social situations.[govt directives , while piling money from us is another thread!]

the most valuable to me is this forum.

communication with real people who know what it is like to quit- and are leaning down right now to pull me up to the next stage.

but THE FACT IS -- it has to be me who makes this quit work.

I am going to make this the one .

please -all out there - throw me a rope !!

    well done so far loving your work , important thing is to keep focusing on your day, by that i mean keep telling yourself you have done the right thing obviously you have, keep going over your reasons for quitting they will easily outweigh your reasons to keep smoking. Keeping yourself busy and active will go a long long way to help you ...drinking water lots of it get that nicotine flushed out. Day three tomorrow this will be a huge day for as you will start to realise hey i can do this ...ok Mr guilty will come a calling telling you that you are missing out on loads of things not chatting to your smoking mates not having a brew without a fag ...ignore him you will find he does go away .......focus, drink,keep busy Skylark and you will do thissee you tomorrow look forward to your posts.

    Plenty of rope coming your way.................. as you said "THE FACT IS -- it has to be me who makes this quit work".

    This forum, it's hints and info is a real help no question, but at the beginning, the middle, the end and all between times of the day, its you who decides to smoke or not :)

    This site is a tool only, a great tool but it's you who is quitting and it's your quit........... read ahead of times in other folks quit, be prepared and be armed. Dodge and dive.......... stay ahead of the game. Make this quit yours and make it a positive experience.

    I look forward to seeing you progress through the stages of quit times

  • The early days can bey pretty emotionally tiring and wringing.......... it gets better........ honest :) Stick with it and face each brick wall with a strong positive attitude...... believe in yourself :)

    Yes KK thats the same as me but it is because there are 2 posts the same I was confused as well :D

  • And why wouldnt it be alright 2 in my eyes has always been better than one just that us non smokers are easily confused and maybe MOD 3 could unite them not sure and not sure its that important, you have a good day and speak tomoz xx
