Question about Champix: Hi i was wondering if... - No Smoking Day
Question about Champix
Im sorry you are feeling depleted on the Champix and I wish I could advice you about the side effects but I went CT, tiredness strikes alot of people no matter how they choose to quit and Im sure some one will give you more info on Champix, but are you seeing the doc or nurse if so ask them or even ring one of the helplines so that at least it will set your mind at rest.
Quitting smoking gives us all withdrawal symptoms and I am always amazed at the wide range of symptoms there are, and that we all seem to get some but not all of them thank goodness.
I will go and search the net and see if I can find a sensible site to refer you too, dont let it hinder your quit as you are doing so well, speak soon xx
Well this is a start but not Champix just in general and Tiredness and Lethargy are 2 main symptoms and you are not far down the line yet so I have got the NHS Helpline number Smokefree - from the NHS
Free smoking helpline 0800 022 4 332 Web: smokefree.nhs.uk
For advice on stopping smoking, and for details of your local NHS Stop Smoking Service.
I am sorry I cant be of more help but PM me if you want to just chat.
Jamangie thank you very much for the link and phone num. Will not stop giving up but just wonderd if any one felt the same.
Hi Brenda have you checked out the symptoms link on here, or if no one answers tonight put another thread on tomorrow reading HELP CHAMPIX sounds a bit drastic but when you feel a bit down you want answers, are you perhaps a little deppressed, hope you dont mind me asking xx
Hi Brenda
I've been taking champix for 10 weeks now (stopped for 8 weeks)can't say that I'm feeling tired and no enegry, but do feel a bit depressed at times, don't know if thats the champix or the quit! There is a champix crew forum on this site for everyone that has given up using champix. Try this forum and maybe you will get some more answers x
Hi Brenda
I've been taking Champix for almost six weeks now and like you have been feeling very tired even though I'm sleeping really well. Went through a phase where everything was a bit of an effort. Tiredness is a side effect of Champix but as Jamangie says some people suffer with it however they quit. I'm quitting with two other people at work, one is feeling tired the other is full of energy
If it's worrying you have a word with your GP but hang in there - you're doing great
Hope that helps a little.
Andrea
