My stomach is bloated and gurgling like mad, a few nights ago it was cripplingly painfull for about 2 hours straight but lately its just felt a bit distented and noisy.

Is this to do with quitting smoking? what can i do about it?

cheers

Hi Mini .....not sure about this one, it could be connected with stopping smoking but I have never heard of it happening before ....esp the pain for 2 hours .

Might be worth a visit to your doctor to have it checked out by a professional ............just to be on the safe side :) sure you will be fine !

Best wishes

Hi Mini

Ouch sounds uncomfy for you ...not sure it is all related to giving up smoking your doctor would be best placed to advise you on that, i can remember some bloating feeling mostly wind related i am sorry to add but yours sounds a bit more to do with bowels and stuff, probably best advise i can give sorry i know it's of no help to you, but you never know someone else on here may well have had the same symptons as you..... Good luck

Mini :)

Hi,

I felt like that but I was taking Champix. Would keep an eye on this and if it doesn't go away, go to the Drs.......Good Luck

Hi Mini,

Sorry you are having bad tummy probs at the mo. It does sound like it is really bad wind. You could try some over the counter remedies which will dispel it gently for you & see if that helps. Have you changed your diet at all which would explain it? If you have been quit for quite a while now I wouldn't think it was because of that but I am only guessing.

If it carries on or you are at all worried go & see your doc to be on the safe side. I have started a diet this week & reallt suffering so I can sympathise with you totally. It can be so very, very painfull.

My husbands solution is to tell me to hold my nose & blow, men!!

Have you er been going  you know??? and as Gaynor said wind is so common with us ladies and the not being able to go er you know ???

I suffered for quite a bit with er wind and er you know so dont worry to much as stress will make it worse as well.

Go Docs or chemist they will put your mind at rest. Well done on your quit xx

I think it mightve started with a slight diet change, i was snacking a lot and thought i'd better snack healthily so i bought some peanuts and ended up eating a ton of them over 2 or 3 days.

Dont worry jamangie, apart from looking like a snicker bar for a while everything is all right there ;) i'll give it a couple of days and see how i feel.
