Day 11 Woo Hoo!

Well thats me on day 11 smoke free. Feeling quite good today. Glad i've got this far its not been easy. I'm starting to cough up all the crap from my lungs now and my voice is going a bit funny. Has anyone else experienced this? Think my other half thought i'd of given in by now but i haven't. He's off to the docs today to get champix which is good as he really needs to stop coz hes got asthma.

Well I'm away to get ready for my work in the cig kiosk. (i'm stating to feel sorry for all the people who come in for there fix they just don't get it! The smell off some of them is awful can't believe how much you can smell smoke once you've stopped yuk!

Congrats on day 11. The voice/throat thing is to do with all the little hairs growing back from your nose down the back of your airways. Not a pleasant thought!

And I know what you mean about the smell!!!

11 days brilliant shirley.. & i know wot you mean with the smell..its does smell awful on someone after theyve smoked & u kind of know...hey uve just had a fag...horrible init xxx I still like the smell of smoke though maybe wen i hate that too i have totally cracked it lol xxxx

Hi Shir really pleased you have hit 11 days and that you feel good about it too thats half the battle.

My voice has changed and I can sing again, nooo didnt say I could sing well just that I could do it LOL

You must feel gutted when you smell the smokers how gross is it and the longer you quit for the worse it gets, so enjoy your quit and use the forum it will keep you strong.

thats funny you saying that about your singing voice. Mines has got worse never said i could sing in the first place like hope it comes back soon.

Congratulations on Day 11 and I hope Day 12 is good.

I've just started with the crap coming off my lungs as well - its grim! But my lungs feel that tiny bit better every time I cough something up. You work in a fag kiosk? You have a huge amount of respect from me then, thats some fantastic will power.

My singing voice still sounds like a cat in terrible pain but thats normal but it feel like, for the first time in years, I can breathe deeply. And that feels wonderful.
