Couldn't sleep last night, on very low dose NRT and just having a bit of a rough day.
Was out at clients and busy last to days so think it is probably just that I have too much time to think.
Also feeling very bloated and scared about weight gain, but really don't want to go back to smoking.
Congrats to everyone on here, you are all so brave, hope I can make it, loving not smelling of smoke all the time and my skin feels better and lips are less dry already!

Well done on your quit It is amazinhg how quickly you notice the changes in yourself & it just keep getting better honestly Each time you get a crave try & focus on all the good things you have noticed & those yet to come. Think of how much money you have already saved. Remember that a smoke won't make you feel better or change a situation.
Try not too worry to much about the weight gain. A few extra pounds is still better than taking in numerous poisons. Any weight gain will settle when you are ready. Munch on veggies & fruit but if you prefer chocoalte bring it on LOL.
well done on day 4 and sorry you're finding it a tough one just hang in there get through today and tomorrow will be better
Below is my standard welcome and advice post which I try and give all new members
Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good
You will find all the help and support you need on here as we all help each other just like a family we are here for you every step of the way cheering the good days and sympathising with the bad but the good far outweigh the bad
Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here are 2 I find very good to start you off whyquit.com and woofmang.com Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be
Got home now and at least have no cigarettes here, think it was probably the lack of sleep and the constant stomach ache that doesn't help.
Just hoping will wake up tomoz and have less of craving.
I start smoking full time (always been a bit of a social smoker) when I went through a really bad spell of depression 2 years ago and scared that the stress of giving up will cause me to have a relapse, but also that could just be my mind making me think of excuses not to quit!!
Think I will try without the NRT from Friday to Sat as have few days off with my boyfriend, as have heard that getting rid of this can help with stomach and sleep problems, any suggestions??
Sorry for ranting on, feeling a bit emotional at the mo
I've been a heavy smoker and went coldd turkey and i honestly believe it's the best way to finally quit. I'm on day 8 and i'm loving life so much more, if anything this will help your ddepresion n ot make it worse.
Focus on your inner strength and remember you can do whatever you want, you are in charge of your life. Give nocotine 3 days to get out opf your system and then move on.
Dont worry about weight gain. Because when you find your will power strong enough to stop thinking about ciggerettes then you can focus on losing whatever weight you might've gained.
Id rather be a bigger non smoker than a smaller smoker.
