Hello,

I am now on day 4 as a non smoker.

Since I have stopped smoking I have been getting shooting pains down my right leg? Does anyone know if the 2 could be connected.

I suffer from health anxiety really bad - so im really hoping it may just be a side effect.

Thanks!

Heidi

Hi, anxiety could cause pain, my husband used to get shooting pains through anxiety some years back. The improvement of circulation could also cause different sensations. If it persists and visit to a GP or health clinic might put your mind at rest, there's not point putting extra stress on yourself worrying about pains that might or might not be anything.

I'm day 6 and I've had pains in my right calf. However I've had cramp a couple of nights in my sleep which is a symptom of withdrawal, I know cos I've quit 8 million times and it happens everytime. So if uve had cramp that's what will be causing the leg pain if u ain't had cramp I reckon the circulation theory sounds pretty feasible. Don't worry, if it carries on visit ur doc. Good luck xx
