Day 14, can u believe it, doesn't it feel brilliant.
I still can't imagine not having a cigarette again ever, but the more days, weeks, months we get behind us, it would seem so much more to lose. Even at this points, I don't want to do the past two weeks again.
We must keep up the enthusiasm, I don't want to lose the thrill of not smoking. You must keep reminding yourself of the things that are so much better, and the strong feelings you had which made you want to stop in the first place.
I've heard that week 3 can be tricky for some, so I'm getting prepared, arm and leg restraints in place and the family have strict instructions to tighten them if necessary
Well done getting to day 14, that's 2 whole weeks. Cigarettes were around for many hours and many years, it will take a little time for your head to forget but it does get easier, you will think about them less, I promise.
Week 3, tomorrow. On my last quit (2 years ago) I failed on Day 19. When I look back it was obviously because I never had the belief I could do it, I classed myself as a smoker who wasn't smoking right now. Always doomed to fail. Sooo....I went to a club, got trashed and had a fantastic time - so much so I thought I'd go outside for a cig (one won't hurt right). On the plus side I did meet my current and fantastic boyfriend in the smoking area - but who, by default, is a smoker. I hope he stops soon too.
