Close to cracking...

Hi All

After an easy start the old monster fought back last night...Trying to tempt me into lighting up...'You've gone this far and it was easy...Have a cig a start again tomorrow...it doesn't matter' said the monster...But I start Day 7 smoke free thanks to my wife and thinking about coming onto the forum and admitting defeat... I even had a beer last night which is usually fuel for smoking but once I had got past that 20 minute slot I had my beer and a smile rose up on my face... I CAN DO THIS! I WILL DO THIS.

There are moments when the drug demon really gets inside your head and these are the times you need to be really strong and you were, that if fab.

You should feel very proud of yourself, and a whole week done and dusted, a whole 7 days you will never have to do again, hope that feels fantastic.

Do you have any treats planned?

Stay strong, try and do some reading today to reinforce your quit.

Great news, a week under your belt. Well done on resisting the crave and well done to your wife too for being there. It's a great feeling saying no isn't it, feels a bit scary at the time, but afterwards gives you a real big lift, and going into your second week too, doubly good.
