Day 14 started for me today at 4pm which is my 2nd milestone completed and feeling really proud of myself and feeling extremely good.
Went to the pub this afternoon and enjoyed a smoke free afternoon with my friends who where all very supportive and encouraging which made me feel great and even more determined to succeed. Plus shared a couple of bottles of vino which is normally when I smoke more but didn't, I have to say though I did think about smoking most of the time.
Off to the doctors in the morning to see the nurse and get my patches on prescription as I have been paying for them so far, dont know what to expect but a little nervous as I've known her for years and she thinks I have never smoked, not too sure how I will try and explain that one!!!!!!........
How's everyone one else doing today?, good I hope.

Well done Shaz, glad I'm not the only one to hit the bottle today
I've just been sitting here thinking about life (probably the wine), and I think I've sort of talked myself into going for a run tomorrow (definitely the wine). I've always been a big lad but always enjoyed running and biking. I've not run properly for about 3 or so years now, the death of my dad put the cosh on the half marathon I was training for, my own medical problems over the past few years have always been there as an excuse. SO in my not completely sober state my mind has decided that I should do something about it and maybe go run that half marathon for both my dad and me.
Why am I writing this here? Well I probably wont remember it in the morning so this will be a not so pleasant shock for me when I'm having mooch tomorrow.
Oh...feeling good though Also setting up my ickle home recording studio. I've no idea why...just something I didn't have this morning which I do have now...and all for free! (no thieving was required).
Hi Sharon, Wheres the time going, Look at U in Week 3, Massive big cheers coming from Sale, not easy the first time in a pub, but another milestone safetly overcome..... Your doing great, keep going strong. Really proud of you. Kaz x

Day 15 soon approaching and still cannot believe I am feeling just as determined as I did on day 1. Went to see the nurse this morning and she has arranged for me to get my patches on prescription and I have made follow up appointments ever 2 weeks with her. She was very encouraging and I spoke alot about you guys and the forum and how it is motivating me and she made a note of the site as she said that she likes to make notes of different ideas people come up with other than what her ideas or tips are to help non smokers. She thought the site was a great idea!!!!!.......
Still cannot believe that I saw through 4 hours in the pub yesterday drinking alcohol and not smoking.
I've now enetered into week 3 and cannot wait to get to week 4 now as I cannot stop thinking that this week will be hard becuase of the terrible 3's.
