Hi There

The concentration thing I think is a normal part of the quitting. I can barely concentrate on things, have low energy levels, etc but the other members have advised that it is all part of the quit. I trust them so I'm going with it.

Congratualtions you your day 3 - keep going and keep smiling :)

Good luck pekkleface, the first 3 days are often the hardest

In my sig there's a link to whyquit, an excellent source of info especially on how to take care of yourself in the beginning of your quit.

My friend described me as a space cadet on the first days of my quit - there apparently was a time elapse as information filtered it's way through my withdrawal anxious brain, it does end, write down your experiences for *shoring* up purposes to keep your quit strong.

At one stage on day 2, I texted my entire phone book asking them to slap me if they ever saw me with a fag in my hands again, I felt so deranged and strung out. It does pass and each day is easier. Each day of not smoking; you're a day further along on the healing journey. Keep going, keep strong and reward yourself for all your hard work.

Congratulations on quitting.

Below is my standard welcome and advice post which I try and give all new members

Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good

You will find all the help and support you need on here as we all help each other just like a family we are here for you every step of the way cheering the good days and sympathising with the bad but the good far outweigh the bad

Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here are 2 I find very good to start you off whyquit.com and woofmang.com Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be

This link is good for the psychological part of quittingwhyquit.com/whyquit/A_Sympt...

Post often to let us know how you're doing, to rant, rave have a moan whatever you like pretty much anything goes on here
