Hi ST. I can totally sympathise with the smoking at home thing. I would go all day without thinking, but if I come home and it's quiet, would immediately think of smoking.
I'm only on day 3 and been surrounded by people since I stopped, but kids are back in school tomorrow so may have some long quiet moments myself. Not looking forward to that.
Why did we start? Bet we never thought it would come to this:eek:
Don't think we did we ever start? see it as 'why did we take our time to stop?'
Smoking is all about choice, you chose to smoke a first cigarette.. heck i nicked one out my mums packet when i was much much younger, it was like a dare thing.. can't say i at all enjoyed it.. but the addiction.. the blind lies i followed like gospel truth for years followed quite a bit later.
Once you've quit the only thing that can break and destroy your quit is YOU, if you make a choice to break your quit its a conscious decision you will have made and you have to live with that... so work at your quit, and always stay determined.
You could read a hundred times 'stick at it'.. 'keep going'... but ultimately its how you react when presented with the choice 'smoke or don't smoke' that matters most.
