What a terrible few days and even today. I've tried to keep busy but I cannot concentrate on anything for long all I want to do is sleep. It's horrible like someone has zapped all my energy.
I guess this is all part of the quit and it will get better. Really horrible though no motivation at all.
Day 9 today though, which is good. Here is to month 9.
Any long term quitter please can you advise when energy levels and concentration improve? I know everyone is different but just some idea would be great.
Thank you
xx

Hey Tinks - well done on getting to day 9. Can't tell you when the energy levels and concentration improves - seems to be different for everyone- but you're doing something right in getting this far, so carry on doing what you've been doing!

Hi Tinks
Sorry you've had a rough few days and don't want to do anything but sleep also a lack of concentration
Yes you're right it's all part of the quit and my advice is to go with it if you can sleep when you need to
Yes it is horrible and yes it will go but as you say it varies from person to person but it doesn't last long at least it didn't for me it will pass promise and like I say if you can go with it even a 5 minute nap helps with it OK
But hey you're almost into double figures and that has to be good
Hi Tinks, Hard to say when energy returns, cos I blamed my levels being on the smoking thing, then found out I had a low iron count, but everyone different and think my energy levels eventually returned after a few weeks. But stick at it, your doing really well. Keep Busy then u wont have time to feel tried..... But I did trend to blame everything on quitting ha ha Kaz x
Sorry you aren't feeling like your old self, these symptoms will pass, if you are able take a little rest it may be just what you need. Don't try too hard to concentrate, the harder you try the harder it gets, ease up and it should be easier. Another good reason my love to never put yourself through this again. Keep on going you will be a winner, tomorrow you get to count in double figures and remember don't push yourself too hard.
Sorry to hear your feeling a bit down. Like the others have said it will pass, I remember not been able to watch a 1/2 hour program on TV cause i did not have the concentration. Got better for me after about 2 weeks, but we are all different.
Stay strong, keep reading and posting. Double figures tomorrow, how good does that sound?
Thanks for your responses everyone - it really means a lot to me that you are taking the time to help and support.
Don't get me wrong this quit is different and I know I'm going to do it this time I just do. Besides like Jackie said I don't want to have to go through the initial days again so there is no way I'm gonna let it beat me.
