...but I may have possibly maybe definitely completed day 6! Will be a whole week this time tomorrow...YIPPEEEE.
I'm going to empty the chiminea in celebration...I only ever smoked outside and the chiminea was my ash tray. Tomorrow I shall clear the house of the odd packets I have left and lighters.

Sorry your not allowed to keep it quiet, day 6 is fantastic, and a whole week will make you feel rightly very proud.
I think it is amazing you have done 6 days and yet you still have cigs and things around the house, I could never have done that. The whole house will smell so much better without all the nasty things around. Enjoy your "spring" clean tomorrow, and a huge well done to you.

One of the lessons from my original visit to an Alan Carr session last year was not to skip from difficult situations. I turned this in to make it as difficult as it could possibly be. If I could do it with smokes around the house then I can do it without (longer term). BUT I made sure I didn't have my own at work or in the car for example.
Also...I cheated...I froze the ones I had so they couldn't be lit (just keeps them damp).
WELL DONE!!! I'm so proud of you! I too have some ciggies in the house. I've got absolutely no intention of smoking them but it helps to know they're there. For now. When I have done a week (only 2 1/2 days to go) I'll be chucking them.
Anyhoo congrats on day 6 by the by, great pictures earlier too.
Hope the clean went well it was quite some time before I could face mine! In fact outdoor ashtray from canaries -still stuck outside for those who smoke.
Really well done there Stav and with fags in the house...
I would have have found these last 3 1/2 days impossible with anything to do with smoking left in the house. We got rid of 520 cigs on Saturday night before having our last one.
Really well done though, and look forward to being where you are in a couple days.
Hey Stav, keep it going my friend you're doing really well. I don't know which is best having fags around or not having fags around. The day before I stopped I bought a packet of 10, I don't know why something told me to only but 10 as I used to buy 20's (I did not know at that time I would quit the next day) I still have 8 of those 10 and I am carrying them in my pocket and have done since I stopped. If I changed my jeans I changed them into the clean pair. I am sitting here typing with them in my pocket now and I'm going to keep them there until I know for definate I will never need them again. Maybe I'm trying to prove to myself I have the power over them.
Jack it seems we have a similar approach. My wife gave up probably 4 years ago now. She went CT, just stopped one day (I think it was over a New Year). 2 years later she was still finding fags and lighters hidden all over the place. She's still not a smoker.
Oh and Jack...I'm not the only one doing well! You still have 8 smokes in your pocket!
I too have fags around the house and in my bag! It's odd isn't it? I'm also living with a full time dedicated smoker so I think that is living with temptation!
I too have about 10 fags in my handbag, they are what call my safety net. Not smoked for 6 weeks now, but need those smokes just in case I really really want one (which I don't). I found last time I tried to quit, because I wanted a smoke and didn't have any on me I got into a panic and I bought some. But this time because I got some on hand I haven't even thought about them. Strange isn't it??.
I even go outside and sit with my friend while she is smoking, sometimes the smell of the smoke make me feel better. lolx
