I just popped to the post box to send off today's work post and there, lying on the floor directly in front of me, looking cold and alone was a perfect, untouched cigarette. And do you know what I thought? 'I don't want you!' I can't believe I thought that! Not that I'd normally pick one up off the floor anyway, might I add, but I thought the sight of one might have unleashed some horrible great yearning! Instead I thought 'Yuck. Stay there and freeze to death you horrible thing'. This, again, must be a milestone!!

Wanting one is ok! I'm getting the feeling that's the issue most ex smokers may have to deal with. I've been getting wants for the past few days. I'm not craving a cigarette, I wouldn't even entertain the thought of smoking one, but I'd like one.

Same way I'd like my neighbours Mercedes...not going to steal it though as I can't afford one.

I feel like I'm having to retrain my own internal values almost.
