Not sure how long it is since you stopped ah smoking that is. I have heard that at the beginning this can happen. I'm 5 weeks tomorrow and I have gone exactly the opposite way, I'm absolutely normal again after many years. Sorry I have no suggestions other than the normal ones. You could try looking up some herbal remedies or homeopathic.

I've gone from being regular every day... to regular every TUESDAY!!!! I'm hoping it gets back to normal soon before I have to go for colonic irrigation or something - even PLUMS aren't working....... :mad:
There's things that they don't tell you about when you start the quit - sore teeth, toilet "concerns" etc etc. I was pretty regular, now I'm not. The process is still working, but rather more erractic than I'm used to :o.
I'm just hoping that, like the weight issue, over time my body will sort itself out.
I'd take Jacks advice - go to a health food shop and ask what natural/herbal stuff they've got to 'regularise' things
Eat some jerusalem artichokes... they are very tasty and have certain qualities that might help

Try Dr Stuarts Lax tea, available in all good health shops... an infusion of senna and liquorice... double up on bags for the first evening and let it work during the night.
Eat huge amounts more vegetables for fibre.... (good for weight loss too)
Try to avoid white processed carbs Bread/pasta they can clog you up a bit.

Contsipation - Quite frankly its a pain in the ass
