Congratulations, John - welcome to the Penthouse
May there be many more during 2010.
Congratulations John, fab to see you completing the first of many smoke-free years, great going.
Thanks everyone, as I said on Jerry Lee's post I attribute a lot of my success in the early months to the support, entertainment and information through this forum, I would advise anyone stopping to come on here, and have done, unfortunately none of my friends have taken this advice, a few opting for the NRT/NHS support route and failing:confused:
I do find it quite strange that advice from a successful quitter is ignored yet advice, from a doctor who has probably never smoked, to use a method with a massive failure rate, at a high cost to the tax payer seems to be the way to go, even though they have probably tried and failed with NRT before!!
This year's plan is to stop regular drinking - the cheap offers in supermarkets tend to accumulate in the garage and I've ended up having a few cans or more every night recently so no beer in the house any more!
5 days without a beer:rolleyes:, and I'm back to walking every night, even considering running but as the saying goes, walking first
Well done John, its getting crowded in here now, we must be doing something right
Oh and meant to say, well done to all of you lot too, wherever you may be in your quit, to be honest it is pretty easy to just not smoke:eek:
Sorry i missed this one too!
WELL DONE!!!!!! John.t5
