Forgotten patches

I usually buy a packet of patches each tuesday. But it is now Friday and Im on my last one. So that means I've forgotten to replace a patch more than once. I had a bit of a wobble last week so that may have been the reason. I am now due to drop down to the tiniest ones.

Hi SmokeyBear :D

Yep that little wobble may have been because you forgot to put on a patch

But look on the bright side you've stayed smoke free even forgetting to put on a patch and that has to be good doesn't ??

If you're forgetting them it means you're well on the way to not needing them at all well done Big Hug

Love

Well done, you are doing great, the smallest patches means you are nearly off them. Don't threaten your quit if you feel you need them hang on a little longer then as some others have done, cut them and make them smaller.

Hi :)

Very encouraging, it sounds like all is going good with reducing down in size and your coping with with the decrease, even the odd forgotten one, really well.

Good luck with the next stage and staying strong

Hey Babe!!

Glad your doing well.. the fact that your forgetting to put them on is encouraging and fab!

I didn't do the full course and only did 3 weeks or so on the full strength, a few days of cutting them down to 2 thirds of patches then a few days or halves of patches, then a couple of days of quarters of patches to wean myself off them. My boyfriend said i am a much happier person without them and back to my old self again... for a while i think he was concerned that i had changed irrepairably! hehe!

Still lovely, if you feel ready to go down or do as i did then try it... it worked for me.

Saying that if you dont feel ready to let go just yet stick with going on to the smaller ones.. you may feel a little odd for a couple of days,.. but trust me, it was nowhere near as bad as i thought it was going to be, and certainly nowhere near as bad as those first days!!!

Big Hugs and hope i've helped a little? xxx

Thanks for all the encouragement. I need it at the moment. I feel a bit like a caged animal. Look out anyone who gets in my way.

And only last week I was amazed at how calm and serene I was feeling.

Patches

Hi Smoky Bear.

Well done for for only having a wobble without a patch!!

I have been on patches for 6 weeks now. I am going to start on the middle size patch tomorrow after seeing my smoking nurse. A couple of weeks ago I forgot to put one on when I got up, went to work and thought ""help no patch!!"" and I panicked, but got through the day without it. Now I only wear one every other day.

I do carry about 2 patches around with me just incase I need to slap on a patch when I'm not wearing one.

I have just read Zozie's thread and I agree with her. The patches has worked well. I'm looking forward to the smaller ones and hopefully wear them less often.

Good luck on the little ones.:)
