You little devil you, you made me giggle.

If you do not fancy doing the bradders tried and tested method, can I suggest ex lax (chocolate laxatives) just to give you a kick start. Nicotine is a bowel stimulant, hence the reason we struggle in the first couple of months of quitting.

I miss my old bowel movements (never thought I'd say that hehe!), and I'm still suffering even though I drink loads of water.

Although I'm cooking chilli tonight, as I made it this time last week and it had a similar effect to colonic irrigation..... Might need a bit more spice!

i have had probs for years but found my morning coffee and """coffin"" helped me go... sorryyyyyy to go into detail... I so miss going as well..

was ok first 2 weeks then wow not been for 4 days help...

i drink loads of water, lots of fruit,veg, roughage ( yes I am a bit of a health freak food wise, but i do enjoy it).

even tried laxatives past 3 days no results.... my tummy is like a football :eek:

I read somewhere or other that its the lack of nicotine. It makes the bowel lazy. Being on patches usually causes less of a problem. The other thing that will help is exercise. A long walk.

This subsided for a bit... and had now returned... quite frankly its poo!

I've resorted to ExLax and am feeling super queasy in the evenings.... has anyone else done this and is queasyness quite usual?

I've decided Wednesday is curry night, which seems to help out, also plenty of fruit and fibre (sorry, didn't mean to sound like a cereal ad!).

Sorry Zozie and the rest but I had to laugh at this cause if zozie is still struggling from way back then she will now be ready to explode and I reckon we could all be covered from Lands End to John Ogroats LOL

mmm...yes i must admit all is not clockwork my end too ;)lol, the morning fag and cuppa was just the ticket. These days a glass of water is just not the same.

2 litres of water everyday, a banana, some fibre and all my vitamins is just causing hell up. Maybe healthy people don't erm poo that often!:confused: Bonus.

Ahhhh well duck, if you want a time frame for it getting better.... i'm still periodically taking laxatives now, Ex Lax and Dr Stuarts Senna Tea infusion, 4 months and a week later on, and i go to the toilet approximately every 4 days on average....

I debated whether to post or whether to just ignore.... but i will post as i think its quite important.

Sometimes people can be a little sensitive about medical complaints such as this, i found it to be very distressing at times and while i like a laugh as much as the next person, this is supposed to be a somewhat informative thread for people who are feeling concerned in the same way that i did.

Now i'm sure that noone meant to cause any offense, but guys have a little sensitivity when posting regarding people's personal complaints.
