Am on day 2 and not doing too badly so far. Went to the gym at the crack of dawn this morning, it's not easy dragging yourself out of your nice, warm pit in December. For the best if I can stick at it though, hopefully it will keep the weight off, too.
Cravings haven't been too bad up until now, using 2mg gum every couple of hours. Think I'll treat myself to the Allen Carr DVD later on to perk me up a bit.
Thanks for listening!

Well respect to you for managing to hit the gym at silly o'clock in the cold! I have trouble getting out of bed to go for a hot shower.. heh!
Well done for getting to Day 2, and it sounds like you're pretty much on top of things. The first few days are always the most taxing, they were for me anyway. But you know, you done the dreaded day 1, you wouldnt wanna do that again... so you just keep on going, taking each day as it comes with your head held high! Keep going, you can do this!

Thanks for the support, NeedACuppa. I agree, getting the requisite motivation for day 1 is the hardest part.
I too am rather impressed at the dedication of GYM O'Clock!!!
That fantastic....
Keep on going, its very worth it, choosing life, not clogged lungs and wheezing! The Cravings get easier with time, and we're all happy ranters and listeners when needed which is a bonus and has helped me through!!!

Thanks Zozie, the support is much appreciated. Just popped another piece of gum into my gob, third of the day. It's the perception of boredom which is testing me at the moment. Time for a walk round the block I think.
My new routine of hitting the treadmill first thing in the morning is what got me through the first phase of the quit. Keep it up you are off to a great start.

Hello you
I get up at 6am and swim every morning and then gym of an evening (how sad is that!!). You are doing really well, you will see a difference in your exercise very shortly. Keep it up my love.
well done 2 days is brill, keep at it. also I hold my hand up and say I could never hit the gym so early, well to be honest at any time...... need to consider it as I am so freaked about gaining wieght..... I have done 2 weeks today and weight stable so far!!!!!
I once tried patches but didnt have the will power.
Cant believe I am back at day 2 again (sigh)...at least I know what I am in for this time..I stopped for 3 months during the summer...sadly my dad died and I reached for my crutch...36 hours and counting...
I havent posted for a while and I know I may get into bother for posting in the wrong section but I have managed to get to six weeks and 2 days now without smoking phew...the cravings are hardly noticeable, my breathing is so much better..i have got lots of gunk up from my lungs...food tastes better..I have still used this forum to help me but just read and not posted..I had to work through this myself...I have not beat this yet and I am still taking it one day at a time..but I am so looking forward to getting to the 2 month mark...
