Can't quite believe I'm now on day 3.......after several recent quit attempts, I've always caved on day 2 or 3!
I did wake up with a huge craving this morning and it was very hard getting the thoughts of walking up to the shop to buy some fags out of my mind. It was quite a battle so I had a nico gum instead! Just hope I last the day and get to day 4! I've read that day 3 is the worst, so will keep busy today!

Its true, day 3 is definately the worst! Having a real battle with myself......my local shop is only a 2 minute walk away and I'm seriously having to wrestle with thoughts of going there!
Hi Doglover, you are doing so well please dont give in again. Day 3 is hard are you working today ??? You need to keep really busy I worked myself til I dropped.
So here you are in Day 3, fantastic. Day 3 can be hard for some, but not for all. Keep busy, remember why you are doing this. When day 3 is over you move to the 4-7 day room and there you are a whole week done.
If the craves build, come here and we will help you get through it, you have already done 2 and half days, and you don't want to do that time again.
Read, read, read the links.
Looking forward to seeing you hanging around in the 4-7 day room.
Give yourself a massive pat on the back for doing 2 days...you deserve that. As other's say keep busy, busy, busy especially when the craves hit....they last no time at all. And each time you go past them smile and be proud.
Get some water in you and similarily get some vitamen C too. Don't know if you are a cranberrie juice type of person...I'm not...but the say that's a very effective vitamen C product.
Thank you all so much for your support......for some reason the nico gum just ins't cutting it today! My body is screaming at me for a nicotine fix........the shop beckoned again as I walked the dog.......but hoorah, I didn't go in!
Ok.......another nico gum me thinks........that'll be 3 and its only 10am!
'Tis a difficult thing to do but...don't fixate on the bodies needs. Ignore them this time around. Put some distance between you and those thoughts for a smoke. Think of something else...a good thing...a bad thing....stuff that needs done around the house....when you are starting Xmas shopping/or finishing. Try to re-focus.
It's 10.30am now...and today will go too. Get used to re-focusing upon other things cos that's what you'll be doing in the long run

Ocht, I don't know these details....I'm just a guy. Xmas shopping is usually done in the local garage late Xmas eve. Some Castrol GTX, or maybe a sparkplug....I know what you'd really want windscreen wipers and one of those neat clip on cup-holders. See, don't think I don't care enough.
