All's well with me and I'm looking forward to another smoke free month. The weather turned autumnal here a couple of nights ago and I could smell the change of season - madness!
Having smoked since I was 15, all of these smells flooding back remind me of childhood and so many past memories. Lots of things that I'd put down to the cynicism of age have turned out to be caused by the evil weed rather than me being in my 30's - yay!
I'm looking forward to smoke free Halloween, then being able to smell fireworks and bonfires on November 5th instead of having a permanent portable bonfire in my mouth. Then bring on the smells of Christmas - so many things to look forward to!

Massive Congratulations on 3 months!
thats great. memories and sense of smell is incredible. It took me right back to being a kid at the beach today.
its like being given a second chance at life isnt it.
CONGRATULATIONS on your 3 months smoke free well done you and I agree all the things we can smell again now brings back loads of memories for me as well
Thanks guys for your congrats and continued support (and virtual Yoda cakes hehe).
Just a quick post as I have to get back to work or the boss will kill me (hang on, I'm the boss - does that mean I'll have to kill myself? ;o) )
Thanks again everyone - I'm still going strong and loving being a non smoker! Only slight fear in the back of my mind is how hard it will be coming off NRT but hey, I'm down to one or two cartridges a day on my inhalator and have gum I don't use so I'm hopeful!
I love the smell thing too. It never ceases to amaze me.
I work in a hotel and today for instance, as i was room checking all the rooms, i noticed for the first time the smell of each individual room. One smelt of oranges, anothers occupant had used a really nice smelling shower gel, another smelt of biscuits and coffee, and i could tell whether there'd been a dog in any of them and another one had a slightly mouldy shower curtain....urgh. It's so intense it's actually like rediscovering a whole new sensory world!
