Day 8 and I don't feel too good today, trying to stay bright and chirpy but the constant reminder from the monster in my head saying its "time for fag" is wearing thin! However it will not win as I AM NEVER SMOKING AGAIN!!!Anyhow, hope you are all well.

Take Care - Fay xxxxxx:)

A HUGE WELL DONE YOU day 8, a whole week done and dusted, never to be done again.

It was the most annoying thing for me just all the time thinking about not havin a fag, have you tried the happy thought, so when u think about smoking, don't say to yourself "God i am fed up of thinking about....." think "isn't it fantastic i no longer need/want a disgusting cancer stick, i am so lucky to be free" try just smiling to yourself (i know u may get some funny looks) it helps keep the happy positive you right there in the front of your mind.

At the moment i have loads of PMA (positive mental attitude) so i am sending u some of mine and i hope it keep u going.

Stay strong and enjoy your weekend in the sunshine.

Fay,

I think the churned up feeling is a small price to pay when you compare it to just how much torture you'd put your life through if you had continued to smoke.

I keep it in focus as much as i can.. its got to be worth the moodies we get,

Its got to be worth the sadness on the odd day,

its got to be worth the 'empty' days,

and the days where we can only think about 'one thing'... its got to be worth the butterflies in the tummy, or the odd headache...

what you don't see clearly in the early days of your quit, is the really good days that are definitely coming your way, where you feel so on top of the world and for once.. you feel focus.. you don't constantly think about that 'one thing' any more.. you think about many things.. and many possibilities.. all the things you would normally have never considered. You realise that you could do most things without a smoke, in fact you can do them better.. you have more energy, you get up in the morning feeling like really doing something today.. and not just trudging through it...

Life is a fun ride, its just a shame they didn't have a sign on it saying 'No smoking'

Keep going. and keep on choosing to reclaim your life back. We will heal from the damage we did day by day, don't expect miracles, but relish every positive as they present themself to you.

Thanks Jase

Your right these emotions I am having right now are a small price to pay for a life of freedom from the addiction and I know things can only get better from now on. I really need to relish life instead of dwelling on the fact that I have some bad days.

Plus the fact that I have two children and a husband who tell me everyday that they are so proud of me for what I am doing, so I should be feeling on top of the world, tomorrow will be a better day and the next........

Thanks Jase and have a good weekend
