Sorry, I didnt really know what to write without coming across as patronising or cocky.
The thing I am missing the most are the actual breaks away from my desk, I had no idea how long my working day was before!
Ok so you are missing the breaks away from your desk? would it be wrong at the moment to go get a few breaks away from your desk for a 'proper' breath of fresh air for a change? hear the birds in the trees if theres any near.. and just generally have a 2 min break? if you tell your manager/team leader that you need to as part of your quit, if only for the first week or so, surely he/she will understand.

Haha, I work in the square mile in London so there isnt too much fresh air round here anyway!
The guys at work are being very good about it though. Im trying to replace my cigarette breaks with a couple of minutes by the vending machine instead. Maybe I just smoked before to avoid working!?!?!
Interesting thought that, smoking to avoid work!

How you doing your quit? Patches, Champix, Cold Turkey, etc?

I started on the 24 hour patches this morning and I've got an inhalator which I may try out tonight. So far so good though
I've smoked for half my life so it seems a bit odd without it. Just gotta try to break the habit I guess
See how you go at bedtime on them though m8y... i had to take my patch off before bed every night as it did one of two things.. or both:
a) I would wake at silly times of the night for no reason, and would not be able to get back to sleep
b) I would get some of the most vivid and crazy dreams that i ever got, and every time would also wake up after them too.
If you get that happening, do as i did and just remove the patch before you go bed and put a new one on in the morning after you wake.

Yes good luck and welcome. I have found this forum very helpful and I'm sure you will as well. Seeing how everyone is progressing helps a lot. I'm on day 11 and it has gotten so much easier.
I told myself I would go for a short walk in the morning and afternoon but my sense of time is distorted and before I know it's lunch or time to go home. However, at the same time the days are soooooo looonnnnnggggg that this morning seems like yesterday to me.
I'll try to remember my fresh air break this afternoon.

The patch hasnt really bothered me so far but I think I'll take it off to sleep as a way of giving my body a break.
I feel kinda proud that I've made it this far, hopefully it will get easier after the weekend.
Every day you do, you put another piece of the jigsaw back together, which is of a much healthier happier you that isn't being strangled quite literally by the addiction.
Every day is a step in the right direction now, through the good and bad .. you'll reach a point where things make more sense and the more it happens, the more you want.
You're losing nothing at all by quitting smoking they didn't bring you a single benefit in life.. absolutely nothing. Of course they made you think that they did, but isn't that just convenient bait for their trap? it is.. believe me.
Once free of it, we'll all go on to live much happier lives I am sure.
