Not doing great today. I smoked and I don't really know why. I wasn't craving one or really wanted it but I still had it :(:(
Really disapointed with myself.

Hey Pink,
you will see from a lot of old threads that day 10-12 can be really tough.... I myself had a slip and I know of others who had slips as well...... you have a choice now:
Keep going with your quit (:))
or
Keep smoking (:mad
Don't beat up on yourself..... you can jump right back in and continue on. It's up to you!! You can do this! My slip made me stronger and I hope it is the same for you! Good luck!
Thanks for your kind words.
I know I'm not going to go back to smoking. I have to have a big operation at the end of next month and I know by not smoking will make my recovery better. There is no way I am going back to it onwards and upwards!

Great job then
Been there
Hi PinkBunny,
I am sure alot of us have been there. It is SO easy to smoke & SO hard not to! It just catches you unawares sometime.
I am sure from what you say you will carry on, see that ciggie as a warning & keep on with what you are doing.
Love Gaynor xx
I've never quit by cold turkey, but i've seen posts on here from folk that say 'well there's nothing else for it, i'm going straight at this CT!'.. and i'm like  and it makes me respect anyone who does go CT in honesty. I admire folk for doing it, it does make total sense to cut the supply of nicotine, and if i could honestly keep my cool while doing the job role i do, i think i would have tried this. Well no.. the truth is.. i have tried, and my work colleague and friend suggested that due to my seemingly in-built nature to say absolutely whats on my mind without considering option 2, that i ought to perhaps try quitting with a different method
and he was right in my case. Thats why i went the patch route.. i think its why i'm still in a job while i'm quit
For you though, you went far further than i would have been able to off the bat like that.. but its a damn great thing not to just stop trying after a setback. I've seen folk stop trying to quit after set backs and they've gone years before trying again.. so glad you're gonna start again straight away.
keep us informed as you've done before, you know where your 'flash-point' was this time, try and avoid that by ever means you can this time round.
Good luck.
