Well another day gone, and now on day 21.. and the last day in the week 3 forum.. seems like a short week
Tomorrow i'll be in that month 1 forum
Drank some wine last night, watched a rather boring film sadly, chose wrongly there at blockbuster.. and would you believe it, nearly all the way through it they were lighting up as though they had 100 to go through :).. didn't bother me, i just found it unnecessary.
So hello day 21..and till not smoked and no intentions of doing so

With regard to the film, I wonder if its that you're more conscious of people smoking, something to do with your subconscious. Have you ever got a new car and then all you seem to see afterwards are other cars like yours on the road. Strange
Pleased you doing well and thanks for all the comments and support you give me.
It was one of those films that you pray will get more interesting.. it was a gamble.. the film turned out to be boring as hell.. a wrong choice entirely i guess.. but as i was bored, i watched the scenery and other things more than pay attention to the dialogue... thats when i noticed that in almost every scene they made a bit too much of them smoking in it.
If the film had been interesting, i wouldn't have noticed i don't think, but once i started looking for something to make the film bareable.. i noticed that
no no.. its just an endurance test. Going as long as i can, and if i find myself getting reall irritable i'll throw a patch on. I got to 16 hours last week in total, and am at 13.5 hours nearly now, so i just want to beat the 16 hour mark is my goal
No more nuts than someone going CT, this is just like standing unassisted when you've recently had a plaster cast off
getting a little bit tired and mild moody but nothing major atm, at 19-20 hours. I was expecting to be really moody by now, but this is bearable for me. Although the mild moodiness i think may be more due to being tired, i'll see how that goes, and if it gets out of hand i'll return to a patch for today.
No, no, nothing you've said, in fact I left you cookies in the week 3 jar
Congrats on getting to this week, i still have the key to this week, i made a sneaky copy of it so i could still sit n chill with the new residents here. Week 3 is a good week, and although my week 3 was mostly good, there was the odd tetchy moment which i had to be stronger in will for.
I finished my week 3 on Cold Turkey and i think i'll see how i go tomorrow too, but will have a patch with me in work to see how i go, but i figure that as i got myself in this mess, i need to up the ante a bit and try some cold turkey to see what a real un-supplemented quit is like. There have been plenty of 'deep breath' moments thats for sure.
One thing i'm finding out this time though is that OH's do not understand quitting smoking in the slightest, you really do need to paint it out to them what its like, but how you describe it without sounding like some crazy nutjob is difficult
I wish you lots of luck and inner strength for week 3 though, even though i'll mostly be in the next folder on, i still check the 'new posts' search often and will reply where i can

Jase good luck on going CT, sure you can do it, your body has already begun getting rid of nicotine, it'd be a shame to put a patch on now. Deep breaths really are a help and be prepared to go to the loo or something, to get through stressy periods.
If I can do it you can do it, look at the number of trys I've managed to rack up!!!!!
I wish my boss at work (Who is fully aware i'm trying to stop smoking for good) could see how much stress i'm under here today at work due to :
i) him not arranging any help for me for the busiest day of my week.
ii) having 3/4 work from friday on my queue for today on top of my monday work.
It was like this last week, but not quite this bad.
Trouble is, i'm gonna fret/worry about getting stuff done on time, as they ring me for updates on where stuff is often. Gonna be a very tough day today.
Go and give him a prod Jase and say "Oy, matey, you trying doing all this work, I am a human, not a robot" and if people ring you up, say sorry but they will have to take it up with your boss as he is a thoughtless plonker.
Well you could just pretend to say the above while taking those deep breaths. Just imagine if you did still smoke, you would be even more pushed for time so there is another benefit.
