Hi everyone, this is my first day of quiting the ciggs using the nicotine patches and plastic ciggy thing. I first tried to quit when I was pregnant with my first child but to no avail, then after reading Alen Carrs book (about 3 times) I stopped. I guess it helped that I'd just given birth and had to stay in hospital for 3 days due to an ECS. But, alas, I started again - just one or 2, which were disgusting, but as you all know that's all it takes.
3 Years and another child later I'm ready to stop. Fed up of stinking, not having money and the realisation that I've now been smoking for more than half of my life has suddenly hit home.
So, today, on went the patch, and I must say i've not wanted a ciggerette. So here's hoping that this is it now. 3 months of patches awaits then freedom!
Mum of 2
started smoking age 16
roughly 20 roll-ups or ciggies a day
